There are paths that are already mapped out, with clear boundaries and defined directions. And then there are journeys that take shape step by step, weaving together passions, experiences, and encounters into a unique and personal mosaic…
My life has been just that: a journey of experimentation and discovery, pragmatism and creativity, empathy, observation, and sharing, where every step has added a piece to my vision of the world.
I have breathed art since childhood, growing up surrounded by musical instruments and artworks. I explored different paths, from music to architecture, from IT to event organization, until I found photography as my most authentic language. A language that has led me to travel, exhibit, teach, but above all, to tell stories through images. Because photography, like any form of art, is not just representation: it is a way of seeing. And through our gaze, we shape our world.
THE ROOTS OF ART
I was born in Bari, immersed in a world of music and art from an early age. Growing up between a music conservatory and a restoration workshop refined my eye, ear, and artistic sensitivity. My sister, a pianist, and my father, a restorer of cultural heritage artworks, often took me along, allowing me to absorb beauty and harmony from a young age.
I studied piano and violin out of a passion for music and enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture, fascinated by shapes and spaces. But my path was not yet defined, and fate led me elsewhere. In 2002, I moved to Milan, where, almost by chance, I began a career in IT. Without specific training but with a strong aptitude for logic and problem-solving, I quickly climbed the ranks to managerial positions. Yet, the call of art never faded.
THE CALL OF PHOTOGRAPHY
While my career developed in the tech world, my need for artistic expression grew stronger. So, alongside my job, I began exploring other fields: event, exhibition, and concert organization, music criticism, and tour management. But above all, photography.
Taking pictures became my language, my way of interpreting the world, telling stories, and expressing emotions. It even became my way of “making music”!
Since 2013, photography has officially been my profession, and I have dedicated myself almost entirely to it.

A GAZE ON THE WORLD
My photography moves between portraits, street photography, architecture, and stage photography. Each image is a dialogue, a story that explores reality in new and unexpected ways.
I have had the privilege of traveling extensively, photographing at major music festivals and venues in Italy, Europe (Rotterdam, Copenhagen, Montreux, Paris, London), and the United States (New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco). Every city, every stage, every artist has left a mark on my way of seeing and telling stories. These journeys have enriched and influenced me, becoming a fundamental part of my artistic research.
EXHIBITIONS AND RECOGNITIONS
My photographs have been featured on album covers for blues, jazz, tango, pop, and folk artists, collaborating with international record labels such as Pias, MPS, M.C. Records, Victor Record, Abeat Records, Appaloosa, and OrangeRecords. I write and photograph for music and travel magazines, including DownBeat and iRockJazz (Chicago), Jazz News (France), Jazzism (Netherlands), Jazzwise (UK), Musica Jazz, Jazzit, Repubblica, and Touring Magazine.
My photographic work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Italy and abroad, in prestigious contexts such as Medimex, Locus Festival, and other events dedicated to music and art. A particularly significant moment was when my exhibition Musica Nomade traveled across different cities, finding a home in iconic venues. One of my greatest honors was becoming the first Italian music photographer to have a solo exhibition at the North Sea Jazz Festival, a recognition that allowed me to stand alongside legendary music photographers such as Jim Marshall, Baron Wolman, and Francis Wolff.
PHOTOGRAPHY AS EXPLORATION
Experimenting, exploring, growing—with the curiosity of someone who never stops learning. For me, photography is not just a profession; it is a continuous journey, an endless quest, an experience that evolves every day. Every shot is a new beginning, every project a challenge. And that’s the beauty of it: shaping new ideas, blending artistic sensitivity with organizational skills. This is where I find my balance—between the perfection of composition and the unpredictability of inspiration.

SHARING ART AND BEAUTY
Beyond taking photos, I love sharing and teaching what I know. I organize photography courses in classrooms, online, and through immersive experiences such as photography trips and music festivals.
Photography is an art that stems from observation but also from listening and empathy. Beauty and harmony are everywhere—you just need to know how to see them. These are the aspects I try to convey to those who embark on a learning journey with me, allowing their talent and unique perspective to emerge—encouraging (rather than suppressing) the creativity of innocence and the spontaneity of inexperience.
MY JOURNEY: AN ENDLESS ADVENTURE
Experimenting, exploring, growing—with the curiosity of someone who never stops learning. Photography, for me, is not just a profession; it is a continuous journey, an endless quest, an experience that evolves every day. Every shot is a new beginning, every project a challenge. And that’s the beauty of it: shaping new ideas, blending artistic sensitivity with organizational skills. This is where I find my balance—between the perfection of composition and the unpredictability of inspiration.

And because she works spontaneously, not in elaborate “photo shoots” but in existential human engagements on the streets of real life, her art is as much in-the-moment as jazz. I hope she keeps meeting musicians in these gritty or grand locations, and keeps documenting these suggestive, resonant juxtapositions of enduring artists and transitory environments. No matter how many of these images I am given, I wish for more.
